Hey, potential great news about the Comedy Central deal, huh? Who knows my inner cynical bastard might even believe it this time. And that's saying something.
Anyway, I found some time to do a few updates. Fan Art on the right, Fan Fiction below. Please follow the guide, don't stray from the group and don't touch anything!
The new picture is from Genocidal Smasher, showing Leela in what looks like a classic painting. It's titled "La Reina", which I presume is Spanish. My knowledge about Spanish is limited to "Dos cerveza" and "Gracias", so don't believe anything I say. What's indisputable is that this is a great picture, so go enjoy it.
In the Fan Fiction department we have 3 new chapters of Dave Vincent's excellent story "Background Noise". These are chapter 13, chapter 14 and chapter 15 respectively. I'm sure you all remember the basic premise and are anxious to read, so off you go.
Finally, I'd like to apologize to all of you who've sent me stuff, but have yet to see it actually on TLZ:FM. I haven't forgotten about you, but my work have been absolutely crazy lately, leaving me with very limited spare time (heck, I haven't even seen a full half of any of the World Cup matches ), and I don't know when it will change. Rest assured whenever I can find some time to spare, I will do my best to get the rest of the submitted material uploaded. Have patience, your work will be uploaded at some point.
Thank you, don't forget your tour guide.... what!!? 2 Euros? Cheapskates...
It's not over till the fat lady sings... and I don't hear any singing!

Sorry, no stuff to show off, but just news. When I say "just news", it's probably the biggest understatement. I was just about to go to sleep, when I got an email from mtvcdm, which was titled Comedy Central Picks Up Futurama. Now, if you go to that link to TV Week, you'll find out that it has some great news. It seems, according to the story, that Comedy Central has decided to revive Futurama from the dead with thirteen new episodes. Hmm... things are looking up. Anyway, I need some sleep, but I'll leave you with this happy news. BTW, many thanks goes to mtvcdm, who sent me this good news. Cheers, mate.
No, this isn't déjà vu, it's just that I'm too lazy to come up with a different thumbnail...

Yes, I know, you've seen that thumbnail before. Go on, complain if you must. Anyway, while you sharpen your pencils and daggers, may I present this continuation of a work for your needy eyes. Welcome the completion of Cecilia's fan made Futurama comic, which you'll find is called Leela's Bending Matic, a story about Leela having to deliver an insane invention by Professor Farnsworth, while bringing along with her Fry and Bender. Anyway, the story won't end there, because that would be boring. Something has to happen, and it does. So, enjoy Cecilia's comic, with its cute and imaginative drawing style, plus the story is good.
BTW, I know that people have sent in stuff that's not gone up for a while, but I haven't forgotten about them. Once life gets less busy, I'll meander through them and put them up. Apologies.
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's a bloody mess!

Oh well, it's going to be Fan Art Day today. A day when Futurama Madhouse will be airing a couple of works from a couple of submitters. Yes, 16th June is such a special day and would be a world holiday if the UN would only read my emails. However, until then, we'll have to celebrate 16th June ourselves. Let's welcome on this great day the first work, which comes from ZoidZoid. It seems that ZoidZoid has got into some confusion about what the Futurama characters look like. In fact, if you take a look at the picture he's produced, you can see that he's created some Frankensteinian mess, by combining characters together into some super character. Maybe we can call the new character Professor Nibend Freelaberg. Now all we need to know is what happened to all the other parts of the characters.
The next submitter for this wonderful day of mirth is someone who's come back to the site after some time away. Welcome back ELF, who has come up with a new work for our Fan Art section. This hand-drawn picture is best described by ELF herself: "Its a combination of Futurama and Pokemon, where Fry and Leela are Team Rocket's Jessie and James." So, we have Jessie James with a rocket fighting against the Pokemon team while Futurama's Fry and Leela watch. See, this is why you should read what ELF wrote and not what I just did. Anyway, enjoy ELF's work.
Super Comic Overload Extravaganza
Posted on June 8, 2006 by Graham
Boy, some people have been busy. I mean, you'd have thought that during this heat, people would be lazing about, but not some. No, they come from the southern hemisphere, where it's currently approaching winter, so are full of energy in order to keep warm. However, it's because of activity that this site continues to live on, because if it weren't for the activity of our submitters, we would have to come up with something imaginative, and that would be just too much hard work. Anyway, I have some work for our Fans' Comics section, with two submitters contributing to this section. First up is Cecilia, who has come up with her first comic, which is called Leela's Bending Matic. In this story, Leela wakes up and decides that it's too much effort, so sleeps in. Despite that, she's tired, so the Professor helps her by sending her off to a delivery with his latest invention. Not only that, but hs'e allowed Fry and Bender to tag along, which should keep her alert, even if she might not want to be so. BTW, this comic is yet to be finished, but Cecilia is hard at work, so it shouldn't take too long.
Now, that's not all, because I have three comics from Futurama_Freak1-MODFIA, the one with the long name, who has been busy bombarding me with stuff... good stuff. The first comic from him is called Do Not Feed the Lobster, which has Fry, Bender and Leela making a delivery to Dr Zoidberg's home planet... bringing along the smelly lobster, too. I can't imagine why his home planet would want Zoidberg back, but stranger things have happened. Futurama_Freak1-MODFIA's next one is called Ths Space Monkey Blaster, which is a one page comic that deals with Fry getting hold of a weapon called a space monkey blaster. Thing is, Bender gets to play with it, which seems to suggest that something's bound to go wrong. The last comic from Futurama_Freak1-MODFIA is for Amy fans out there, because it stars Zoidberg. OK, no, that's a lie, because Zoidberg doesn't look like a cute Asian woman with a pink tracksuit fixation. There, got you worried. Anyway, Amy has been delegated the job of coming up with a slogan for Planet Express. Yes, that's right: Amy. Well, it's up to her to come up with something snappy and enticing. To find out what she creates, maybe you should go and read Amy and the Trouble with Slogans, which should give you the answer.
BTW, the 2006 World Cup starts tomorrow... that should be some fun. Run, Leandro, run as far away as you can! Bwahahahahaha!
All work and no play makes Graham a dull boy...

It seems that I'm the only one here uploading stuff, but I bet that's not due to any laziness on behalf of our other webmasters, but some betting syndicate in the Far East trying to control some betting scam to see who gets a hat trick of updates first. Maybe they've bumped off Teral, Leandro and Kenneth so that I'd end up updating three in a row. If anyone has seen Teral, Leandro and Kenneth, then please hand them in to the nearest post office, where they can be wrapped, stamped and deliverd to our host's servers by first class airmail. Then again, it could just be a big joke, with them all hiding in some shack drinking coffee or beer... or both. Anyway, while we try to find our other webmasters, I have some work from three contributors, all for our Fan Art section. The first lot are from a new contributor called Hannah, who has come up with nine new pictures, with one featuring Fry crossdressing. Yes, you read that right. Seriously, have I not awoken today and am having bad dreams! Hannah's other pictures aren't nearly as scary, but certainly worth a viewing... as long as you can get the picture of Fry dressed up as a girl out of your mind. I do hope he shaved his legs and underarms.
Next up we have someone who has contributed before but not for the Fan Art section. Welcome the work of Futurama_Freak1-MODFIA, who has come up with a mountain of stuff for me to update with. Yes, a real mountain. I mean, he's sent in so much stuff that I have to hold back some of it for later on in the month. Reams and reams of it... really a lot. Heck, if I stacked it up, I could, with the aid of a spacesuit, walk on the Moon. However, for now, I'll present some of the work he sent in first, and leave the other fan art and a fan comic for later. Stop groaning... I haven't got twenty arms. Anyway, the work he's sent in should keep you occupied for a while. Now, the picture you can see to your left looks like Leela taking a look at Fry dressing up and doing her usual rolling of her eye. I can't blame her, to be honest. Anyway, as I said, expect some more work from Futurama_Freak1-MODFIA some time soon.
Lastly, I have some work for our Fan Art section from a contributor who has made a return after being away for a long time. Welcome back Coilette, who has come up with three new pictures to show off. The picture to your right shows Fry on a coffee drinking binge, which even leaves coffee stains around his mouth. Messy drinker. The picture comes from a scene in Three Hundred Big Boys, where Fry goes hyper with coffee. Her other two pictures feature Leela whispering to Amy while Fry is inbetween them, and the other picture features a massive Bender and a Massive Zoidberg demolishing New New York, which you can see in the episode Anthology of Interest. So, there you go, lots of work to trawl through. Don't forget our other webmasters out there, who are probably waiting for stuff to drop through their letterboxes. Heh... that'll get 'em busy while I skive.
